A Quick Catch Up...

Hi Guys,

It feels really weird uploading on a Sunday. I'm actually writing this with the intention to put it straight up so I apologise if it's a bit all over the place. I'm going to have taken this down by Saturday: along with some other posts! I am having a bit of a rebrand of my blog and I think the reinvention has been a long time coming.

For that reason, I'm going to be making some of my earlier posts private. The brutality that I'm going to be removing with will be evident, because, if it's not good then it's going! As well as this, you will probably be able to see a change in format in posts from now on. I would like this to develop because I've had my site for almost two years.

In the start, Runnerella suited me and everything I posted was fitting but as I said, it's been a long time! During that time, I've grown and changed as a person so I feel it's necessary that my blog edits along with me. So, as well as having less posts up, I'…

People that Shaped Me

Hi Guys,

I'm back with the last installment of this mini series. I hope you've been enjoying reading it as much as I have writing; most of all, I hope that you feel like you've learnt a little more about me. Over the past month, I've had so much nostalgia from looking back in my life and thinking about the effect that my experiences have had on me. I challenge you to spend some time doing that yourself so, before you read this, STOP and think back to your favourite time in life. Done that? Good! Let's get on with the post...

Emma Watson- What a power woman? Are there any millennial girls who haven't been effected by Emma? The answer is no. Definitely no! To start with, she was in Harry Potter, which is an amazing franchise. I've heard that she really didn't like acting in them but those films were what inspired me to take up drama. I wouldn't be getting my BTEC without her! Obviously, there is all of the other work she's done, too. Emma was the f…

Films That Shaped Me

Hi Guys,

It's week three! Can you believe we've made it this far? It feels like only yesterday I was sitting down and coming up with the idea for this series: in reality, it was March. Time has flown by. Then again, I wouldn't want it any other way because this year has been pretty good. If you've missed anything I've been doing this year then go have a look in the archives and if you've missed any of the other posts in this series, check the bar at the top. For now, lets get into it...

Pretty Woman- I watched this for the first time a few months ago and I was genuinely moved. I found the plot so touching and it was just beautiful. Toward the start I had a lot of rants over messenger to my friend; the best quote from my rant was, 'They're all being mean to her because she's a prostitute but they haven't given her a chance and she's a really good person'. I feel like that pretty much sums up the film! The best line from the film was, 'T…

Songs That Shaped Me

Hi Guys,

As I mentioned in last week's post, this is going to be a continuation of a series that I'm holding throughout the month. Last week I wrote about books that shaped me and this I'm going to be talking about songs that have made a difference to my life! It was really great re listening to some of these so have put on your favourite playlist, grab some salty foods, and enjoy the post...

You Matter to Me from Waitress- This is a relatively new song for me, I think I discovered it a couple of months ago. The whole musical is very beautiful (I think Waitress was one of the most under rated soundtracks of last year) and this song is no exception! My favourite line from it is from the spoken bit, where she says 'I hope you become addicted to saying things and having them matter to someone'. That line always makes me feel quite emotional- I'm usually a wreck by the end!- and it has changed the way I look at things. The whole moral of it is that you shouldn'…

Books That Shaped Me

Hi Guys,

Today I'm doing the first post in a new series! This month the theme of all of my posts is going to be things that have shaped me. What that basically means is that I'm going to be making a list of things, that fit a certain category, and discussing how they've changed who I am today. I think this will be a really good way of you getting to know me more and it will be useful for me to analyse myself more! I'm kicking of the moth with a collection of books so I hope you enjoy...

To Kill A Mocking Bird- I actually first read this quite recently. When I say recently, I mean about four months ago but I haven't  had much time- revision has taken over- for reading at the moment. I knew how hyped this book was before I read it but I didn't think that I'd enjoy it as much as I did. Even if you don't like the story line, I think everybody has some level of respect and appreciation for the novel. It made me realise that I needed to read more 40's and 5…
