May Favourites!

Hi Guys,

It feels really weird to be sat writing my favourites when it's only half way through the month. Then I remember that it's actually June and just wonder where my time has gone. Its a strange phenomena; I'm going to stop talking about it before this post becomes a little too 'Don't Hug Me I'm Scared'!Sorry for that reference, should we just get on with the post?

Models Own Contour Brush- We all know that I'm not the biggest makeup pro so I obviously don't actually use this for contouring. That level of skill is a bit too pro for me, so when I bought it I didn't really know what I'd use it for. The reason I love it is because it's so good for powdering! It's been really warm and I haven't wanted to sweat off my makeup so using this big fluffy brush to pack on powder is really good.

Pretty Woman- My God, what a film! I watched it for the first time on Tuesday and it honestly got to me. The amount of emotion through the characters was so moving, Julia Roberts acting was perfect. The story line too, was amazing! I've saved it on my planner so I can watch it again without my family there: just to get the full effect!

Burts Bees Lip Balm- When I first started using this, I didn't really notice a difference. My lips just felt like they usually did, which wasn't super smooth, but in no way chapped. I stopped using it for a bit last month and the skin on my lips was really dry and breaking apart, which made me realise what a difference this lip balm is actually making. It's made of beeswax- which, I know, sounds kind of gross- so has a lot of merits in that respect. As well as that, it tingles when you put it on which is so satisfying!

Sudocream- This is one of those things that all girls seem to use, but no one really talks about! You put a bit of sudocream over any acne you have and voila, it seems to have gone! Obviously, it doesn't entirely clear it but it does help to lessen the appearance of any spots. I do it over night when i go to bed, just because it's very obvious when you have done! (sorry the photo's upside down)

And that's all I'm going to talk about. As always, there were more I could have mentioned but I didn't want to make my upload too long. Please don't forget to add me to your circles on Google + so I can be at 200 followers by October! I have an Instagram too, which is linked like usual. Have a great week!

Thanks for Reading

A Collection of Failures Through February...

I don't really know if what a clumsy and awkward person I am has been documented enough. Through inference, I feel like it's been made evident. I've mentioned a few of the embarrassing little moments that I've had throughout my monthly's but you are wrong if you think that's it. My life is not just a collection of one off encounters with shame: it's basically a book. A solid 75% of February had been comprised of making a fool of myself, overall. So, here I am, admitting to that fact, and hoping that these stories will make you feel a little bit better about yourself...

The Onion Incident- Okay, I feel like this dramatic title has really pulled you in! Our story begins on a Thursday morning, during half term. I was going to go out to print some photos for my scrap book but my mum asked if I'd go and get her two carrots, an onion and a bag of potatoes. A strangely specific list- I know- but I just accepted it and went off on my journey. I printed my photos…

Why I Hate Rom Coms...

Contrary to what the title would have you believe, romance is my favourite genre of film. I'd say that the first real rom com I watched was 'Pretty Woman' and my obsession had grown since then. However, no matter have much I adore them, I have some issues with the category. Pretty much everyone romance film includes one of these tropes; they wouldn't be a trope if they didn't!

First of all is rain. I have no problem with the weather: light drizzle is actually my favourite weather (I find it really therapeutic to see it bouncing off of an umbrella, okay?!?) but the rain you get in rom coms is next level. It's thunderstorm level of soak, yet nobody seems to have seen the forecast! Surely if that much rain was predicted, one of these people would be wearing a raincoat? It actually doesn't seem to have any kind of effect on the characters, so their lack of preparation isn't an issue. If I'm getting rained on I'm shivery, have stringy curls all over m…
