More Fiction ft A Very Extended Metaphor!

Hi Guys,

So this is my second non-fiction post! My first was in April and it's taken me this long to upload another. I've had every post scheduled up to this post but I really wanted to upload this so I'm doing it! I  hope you enjoy it; I'd love to hear your feedback in the comments! Here it goes...

Through the glass window it was all clear to everyone. We were the perfect group. The loud one, the funny one, the pretty one, the smart one and the mess. Don't look at the individuals, in fact, look at the collective. Look through the glass at the people who love each other, but don't forget the most important rule. Never break the glass.

Once it's shattered, you see what was behind it all along. Then you start to realise that it was never clear to begin with. From the start, it had been opaque. The image of he group was distorted: warped to our advantage. Looking in, you thought you saw the whole thing but we positioned ourselves. We were the queens, with each mo…

Halfway Point: Making way for Change

Hi Guys,

We're a little over half way though the year! Can you believe that it's almost over? I'm normally a glass half full kind of girl, but when it comes to time, I am always shocked. I talk about it too much: this is like how I would always write about the weather last year!

That's not the only thing that's changed about me since last year, though. So much can happen in the space of six months. See, at the beginning of 2017, me and my best friend set out to have our 'year of self discovery'. It was going to be amazing. We were to become new people by the end of it, which was obviously what we wanted.

That failed after less than a month. It was after a collection of bad days that we both started beating ourselves up about. How was it that we weren't …

May Favourites!

Hi Guys,

It feels really weird to be sat writing my favourites when it's only half way through the month. Then I remember that it's actually June and just wonder where my time has gone. Its a strange phenomena; I'm going to stop talking about it before this post becomes a little too 'Don't Hug Me I'm Scared'!Sorry for that reference, should we just get on with the post?

Models Own Contour Brush- We all know that I'm not the biggest makeup pro so I obviously don't actually use this for contouring. That level of skill is a bit too pro for me, so when I bought it I didn't really know what I'd use it for. The reason I love it is because it's so good for powdering! It's been really warm and I haven't wanted to sweat off my makeup so using this big fluffy brush to pack on powder is really good.

Pretty Woman- My God, what a film! I watched it for the first time on Tuesday and it honestly got to me. The amount of emotion through the charac…
