My February Favourites

Hi Guys,

It's March! We've had two months of 2017 already, we're literally a sixth of the way through! It's all gone so fast; I'm not okay with it. It's going to be Christmas in, like, a week! Anywho, whilst it's still March I'm going to do my February favourites!

1) My Docs: Earlier this month I bought some Dr Martens! If you didn't know, they're a shoe brand that make really indie shoes. A Docs shop opened in Hull just before Christmas and I've had my eyes on this pair for ages. If you're interested in getting a pair, I'll link the website here, but I'd advice going down a size because they are a bit big!

2) Bullet Journals: I'm not too sure if I've spoken about it; at Christmas I started a bullet journal. They've been absolutely taking over the internet lately because of how aesthetic they are. If you're still not sure of what they are, bullet journals are a cross between a diary, a to do list and planner. I use mine to say what I want to do the next day and then track some of my habbits. I've had a happiness scale for the past two months and have just started a mental health log. There'll be a more indepth post about that on my Instagram on Monday, so check that out!

3) Succulents: My- favourites- specifically- are cacti but I don't trust myself with one! I'm so clumsy, I know that I'd end up with spikes in my hands! Also, I used to have a pot plant but I can literally kill anything so my new plant is made of plastic. I've named him and everything! He's so cute and makes my room look so much more put together!

4) To Kill a Mocking Bird- This is a such a famous book and I've only just gotten around to reading. It's so obvious why it's a classic, though: it is just perfect. I'm not yet at the and but I am about half way through so I might be doing a review of it! I'm taking a while to read it but I just don't want it to end!

And they're all the things I'm going to be talking about! There were more but I just didn't think I'd be able to fit them all into one post. If you'd like to see more of my content, please add me on Google + so you'll be notified every time I post!

Thanks for Reading

November's Essay...

I haven't been feeling very well this month. I took my first day of school- in a few years- on Monday because of how bad it was. Physically, I had a cold. No, I'm not one of those people! (Side note...) It always irritates me when people have a bit of a sniffly nose and then take two weeks off from school. There's just no need! My moto is: have a bit of lemsip and get over it. I'll drag myself into school practically unconscious with a bus stuck in my side and still plaster a smile onto my face. This month, however, I finally admitted there was something wrong.

A day was spent under a blanket with Gossip Girl on. In the end I put 'After Laughter' on and woke up two hours later, confused, wondering why the music had stopped. Even though I felt awful the next day (I always get massive colds!), I went back into school. That day at home did me good though because it was nice to spend some time resting and not being stressed. That's something that I don't do …

A Zillenial on the Eighties...

Now, let's throw it back to the glorious year of 2004. Shrek 2 was hitting our screens, Jeremy Clarckson was hitting Piers Morgan in the face and Maria Julia Mantilla was being crowned 'Miss World' over in China. I, a bit closer to home, was enjoying the early years of life. However, across the sea 'Bowling for Soup' were releasing '1985': a bop that I would only come to appreciate about twelve years later. The song contains references to many pop-culture focal points that I have never understood... until now! It's time for me to explore the eighties!

First off is 'Whitesnake'. For the past few years, I've thought that 'Whitesnake' was one person (a rapper or something? I don't know!) but it turns out that they're a band! The were a British hard rock band who rose to fame in the 80s, originally formed in 1977. Another band that I believed to be a single person was 'Blondie'. My friend recently went to see them, althou…
